Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attended the second India-Nordic summit in Denmark and later departed for Paris to meet newly re-elected President Emmanuel Macron on the final day of his 3-day Europe visit on Wednesday. The second India-Nordic summit saw the participation of the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The Summit focused on subjects like post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology, renewable energy, the evolving global security scenario and India-Nordic cooperation in the Arctic region. PM Modi also held one-on-one bilateral meetings with Prime Ministers of Nordic nations and presented them special gifts got from various states of India. He landed in Paris around 9:30 pm (IST) and will be holding bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron to set the stage for next phase of strategic partnership between Indian and France.
