New Delhi: Senior officials of India, Maldives and Sri Lanka will meet on December 19 for discussion to include Mauritius and Seychelles to the trilateral group.
Deputy national security advisor Nehchal Sandhu will lead the Indian delegation.
As China has made tremendous inroads in the Indian Ocean region, including Maldives and Sri Lanka,India's external affairs ministry is also crafting a new territorial division to take care of Indian Ocean countries.
This is the third trilateral meeting at the NSA level.
