Kochi: In a unique way of celebrating ‘Onam', the harvest festival of Kerala, the Kochi campus of IIM-Kozhikode decided to spread the message of Organ donation.
Onam celebrations at the Kochi campus in Infopark at nearby Kakkanad was more than fun and festivities as they decided to spread the message of ‘love for humanity through organ donations', a press release here said.
This is in line with the support IIM-K has provided to organ donation initiatives and to bring forward more people into the organ donation drive.
The event, held yesterday, was inaugurated by Infopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair, in the presence of film personalities Vijay Babu and Arun Vaidyanathan and Vasanth Shenoy, Joint secretary, ‘SORT-Cochin', among others.
A procession was taken inside the campus with display slogans and messages on organ donation.
The drive was supported by the Indian Women Network (IWN) the women's wing of Confederation of Indian Industry and Calpine group, among others.
