Muzaffarnagar, May 9: Satish Kumar, the DIG of Prabuddha Nagar, on Tuesday was listening to a complainant Shaukeen, who was alleging that some powerful people in his village had abducted his minor daughter.
After coolly listening to the complaint, the DIG flared up : " Main antaryami nahin hoon. (I am not omniscient). Had she been my sister I'd have shot her or would have shot myself. If anybody's daughter is taken away, one should die of shame."
Shaukeen was dumbstruck. He did not expect this reply from an elite member of the Indian civil services, trained at the famous Mussorie academy.
The DIG had gone to the local SP office, when the complainant met him with his request.
