Her victory has become even more special as she has been chosen to lead a cluster of 16 villages which comes under a single panchayat, an occurrence that has happened after 65 years.
Even during the campaign, she took care of family and tea stall as she went around convincing people of her dream to ensure girl education in the area.
Pooja listed her prorities saying, "There are many villages in our panchayat region where there are no schools for children, especially for girls. I will move mountains to ensure that there are schools and other facilities in all the 16 villages."
A total of 4,77,814 people stood for pradhan elections in the state, out of which a whopping 44.79% were women candidates.
