New Delhi, Dec 3 : A housemaid from Jharkhand has filed an FIR with Moti Nagar police station, Delhi, alleging that she was subjected to continous sexual assault by her employer Dr Ketan Shukla, when he was posted as Deputy High Commissioner in Kenya for three years.
The maid, in her complaint, has alleged thta on return to India her passport and clothes were taken away by her employer.
Police in ascertaining the veracity of the her allegations.
Dr Ketan Shukla of Indian Foreign Service is presently posted as secretary, Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Dr. Ketan Shukla joined as Secretary to Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission on July 9, 2010. He was born on 8th February 1960 in Godhra, Gujarat. Dr. Shukla is a highly educated Indian Foreign Service Officer with degree in Bachelor of Science (Micro-Biology and Chemistry). He did his MBBS and MD (General Medicines) from NHL Municipal Medical College (Vikram Sarabhai Hospital), Ahmedabad. He can speak Gujarati, Hindi, Portuguese and Serbo-Croat fluently. He is also well-versed in Sanskrit language.
He has served in Indian Diplomatic Missions in Portugal, Brazil, Charge d' Affaires (Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Belgrade), Counsellor (Commerce) Berlin, Germany, Deputy Chief of Mission, Bhutan and as Deputy High Commissioner of India in Kenya and as Deputy Permanent Representative to United Nations Environmental Programme(UNEP) and UN-Habitat. In 2009 he was elected the First Vice Chair and Chairman of Programme and Budget Committee of UN--Habitat. He was also Member of the Governance Review Committee of UN-Habitat.
He was also served in the Ministry of External Affairs as Director in the ITEC (India Technical & Economic Cooperation Division), ITP (Investment Trade Promotion Division), and West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Division. He also served on deputation as P.S. to Minister of State for Defence Production and Supply in the Ministry of Defence.
