Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda yesterday once again raised the demand for a separate High Court for Haryana.
“I need a separate High Court for Haryana. That problem has to be solved,” he said.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a function to inaugurate a new Bar complex here.
At present, there is a common High Court for both Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states.
Hooda announced a grant of Rs 50 lakh to the Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High Court for the welfare of advocates.
The Chief Minister asked the advocates not to charge fee from poor litigants.
