New Delhi: The recent rise of terrorist attack on the Indian defence forces in the last few months has exposed a new form of modus operandi of Pakistani terror groups.
Dreaded terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), involved in the recent attacks on the Indian forces, used the new form of attack that has been named as 'hit and run'.
According to a report submitted to Home Ministry by the Indian Intelligence Agencies, LeT has been preparing on the 'Hit and Run' mode of operation for the last one year.
The 'Hit and Run' modus operandi is a dangerous and deadly. In this operation, the trained terrorists are just asked to infiltrate on the Indian side by crossing the Line of Control (Loc). They are not given any specific target. They are just asked to lay low and prepare a sleeper cell in Kashmir.
At an appropriate time, the terrorists go and meet their module boss. The job of the module boss is to provide a safe stay and logistic to these terrorists in Kashmir. The module bosses are also known as local handlers.
Once the terrorists infiltrate, they take around 10 days time to contact the local handlers. During their stay, the trained terrorists try to live as local Kashmiri and work on their target.
After getting order from their Pak handlers, these terrorists launch attacks on the Indian army and try to cause extensive damage.
