Dharamshala, July 24: The Himachal Pradesh police on Saturday seized four luxurious vehicles with Bhutan numberplates from the Karmapa monastery in Sherabling.
DSP Palampur Sanjiv Chauhan and SHO Baijnath Shravan Singh led the police team to seize the four vehicles which included a Land Rover, Land Cruiser and a minibus.
Police had reports that all the four vehicles which had come from Bhutan were running in Himachal Pradesh without permit and registration.
A case under sections 420, 468 IPC and Motor Vehicles Act has been registered. The monastery authorities are yet to be interrogated.
