Jammu, Jan 9: Heavy exchange of fire continued till 2 a.m in the night along eight posts of LOC in Mendhar sector of Poonch.
The firing continued after barbaric attack by Pak troops in which a group of 15 pak soldiers ventured into Indian territory and ambushed an Army patrol party killing two soldiers.
A group of six soldiers of 13th Rajputana Rifles had gone for patrolling when they were attacked by a group of 15 soldiers of 29 Baloch regiment.
At the time of incident there was dense fog.
Besides killing two Lance Naiks,Hemraj and Sudhakar Singh,they also injured two other soldiers.
Norhtern army commander, Lt. Gen K T Parnaik visited the scene of action and confirmed that one of the two bodies was mutilated.
