Hazaribagh (Jharkhand): As many as nineteen police personnel were tonight suspended in connection with the killings occurred in the Hazaribagh court premises earlier in the day, a senior police officer said here.
"Nineteen policemen, who were given the escort duty, have been suspended," superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha said.
A gangster and his two aides were shot dead allegedly after members of a rival gang opened fire on them outside the District court here today.
Sushil Srivastav, already convicted in a murder case and lodged in Hazaribagh jail, was brought to the court today for trial in another case of criminal offence, when unidentified assailants fired indiscriminately, killing the gangster, a resident of Patratu town, and his two aides who had come for the hearing, Jha said.
