Patna, Aug 18: Leader of opposition in Bihar, Abdul Bari Siddiqui today suggested Anna Hazare and his aides to launch the movement against corruption from Bihar.

“I request Annaji to visit Bihar and if he finds the Nitish Kumar government neck-deep in corruption, he should launch a movement against corruption from the state,” Siddiqui said in a letter to the Gandhian activist.

In Bihar rampant corruption prevails in several welfare programmes, he alleged.

Siddiqui referred to the recent controversy over the allotment of plots by Bihar Industrial Area Authority (BIADA) to bureaucrats, relatives of ministers, besides MPs and MLAs, and the issue related to non-reconciliation of AC/DC bills highlighted by the CAG in its report for the period ended on March 31, 2010.

“The country is fed up with rampant corruption ... We know that you have nothing to do with political parties ... We see a reflection of late Jayaprakash Narayan in your image,” the RJD leader said. PTI
