Sirsa (Haryana), Apr 20: Purushottam Bansal, a small-time kirana shopkeeper in Mandi Kalanwali, hit the Rs one crore Punjab state Baisakhi bumper lottery on Friday.

Bansal said, he had purchased the lottery ticket from Bathinda, Punjab, in the name of his four-month-old daughter Trushi.

"This morning I got a phone call, and some people came to inform me that I have won the bumper jackpot", said Bansal on Friday.  There was another Rs 1 crore bumper jackpot on offer.

Bansal has two daughters.  His wife Nisha says, people usually consider daughters in a negative light, but my daughter has opened our eyes.

It is the same Mandi Kalanwali, where a vegetable vendor Bhagat Ram had hit the Rs 1 cr Punjab State Lohri bumper last year.
