New Delhi: The dinner spread at the banquet hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee for Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Thursday night ranged from a spinach-based Kashmiri dish to kebabs.
Popular Kashmiri drink Kahwa and 'Haak Ka Saag', a popular spinach dish from the Valley and cooked in its own juice over simmering slow flame, were a hit among the vegetarians.
To tickle the taste buds of people preferring non-vegetarian dishes, Galauti Kebabs, which is tender lamb cooked with light spices, and Murg Dhaniwal Korma--chicken cooked in coriander gravy-- were on the menu.
The starters included Badam Shorba which is a soup made of almond, besides dishes of Mushroom, cottage cheese and vegetable cooked in Onion seeds.
Gulaab Kheer, which is rice pudding flavoured with rose, Lemon Cheese cake and cut fruits were served as desserts.
Kashmiri 'Kahwa' and South Indian coffee were also served.
