Mumbai: In a new year gift of sorts, the Maharashtra state government announced a 60-minute relaxation to its staff here to report for work, beginning from today.
A Maharashtra state government resolution (GR) issued yesterday said that the relaxation would be applicable for reporting to work between 9.45 am to 10.45 am, on all working days.
However, the relaxation has come with a rider that the staff would have to put in that much extra time in office after 5.30 pm.
The GR has also made it clear that the supervising authority would have the right to make the staff work beyond normal office hours whenever there is any work exigency.
