Mumbai: At least three people lost their lives and eight others got severely injured after a high speed Container collides with a tempo on the Mumbai-Goa highway near Lanja tehsil.
All the dead and injured reportedly belong from Chiplun tehsil of Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. They were going for worshipping and taking holy dip in Rajapur Ganga River, situated on Goa-Maharashtra border.
Negligence on the part of container's driver and high speed of the vehicles are said to be the major reasons behind the accident
