A 26-year old Mumbai girl Nathalia Saldhana taking part in the Goa fest was critically injured after she fell from a height of 300 feet from a parachute at Cavellosim beach in South Goa on Saturday evening, police said.
The girl hired a parachute trip which turned to be a disaster for her.
Nathalia was representing for UTV software, when the accident took place at around 5.30 pm.
An FIR has been registered against the trip operator Jack cruise and water sports, parasailing with parachute under sections 280 and 338 of Indian Penal Code by the Colva police .
Jyoti Ahuja, head of corparate communication for UTV in her complint said that the operator did not strap the parachute properly and due to his negligence this mishap occured.
Goa police is invedstigating the case. So far, no one has been arrested in this connection.
