Ghaziabad girl tops ISC in Delhi-NCR; boys outperformed

New Delhi: A Ghaziabad student has secured top position in ISC (class XII) exams in the Delhi-NCR region of CISCE with a score of 99 per cent.

Rupal Goel from Holy Child School, Ghaziabad, topped ISC class XII Examination 2015 conducted by Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) in Delhi-NCR region, chief executive officer of the Council Gerry Arathoon said today while announcing the results.

Yashvardhan Tomar of St Mary's Academy in Meerut Cantt, also included in CISCE's Delhi-NCR region, topped ICSE (class X) exams securing 99 per cent marks.

A total of 1793 students had appeared in the class XII examination this year and the overall pass percentage is 97.27.

Girls have done better than boys recording pass percentage of 97.65 per cent as compared to latter's 96.88 pass percentage.

Aditya Maru from Shri Ram School, Gurgaon; Sanyam Gupta from St Mary's Academy, Meerut and Chaitanya Gupta from Shri Ram School, Gurgaon, secured second rank with 98.25 per cent marks.

Five students - Prannay Srivastava from Shri Ram College, Gurgaon; Divjot Kaur from Frank Anthony Public School, New Delhi; Rashi Jalan from St Joseph's Academy, Ghaziabad;

Harshit Garg from St Thomas's English Medium School, Meerut; Aradhita Gupta of Shri Ram School (Aravali), Gurgaon, were placed third by securing 98 per cent marks in class XII exams.  The ICSE (class X) examination was taken by 3,790 students in the Delhi-NCR region.

The overall pass percentage is 98.50.  Girls with pass percentage of 99.14 overshadowed the boys whose pass percentage stood at 97.94 per cent.  

Harshita Choudhary of Shri Ram School, Gurgaon, secured the 2nd rank by scoring 98.80 per cent marks while Shreyansh Sinha of St Paul's Academy, Ghazibad, and Dhruv Pandey of St Mary's Academy, Meerut, shared 3rd rank by getting 98.40 per cent marks, said CEO of CISCE Gerry Arathoon.
