Jammu: Former Army Chief Gen (retd) V K Singh yesterday submitted his reply to a breach of privilege notice issued by the Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, a spokesman of the Legislative Assembly said.
State Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul had on October 24 issued notice to the former Army Chief asking him to explain his position on his allegation of pay-offs to some ministers from the Army's secret funds during his tenure.
Gul received a copy of the reply from Gen Singh along with a CD today, the spokesperson said, adding that the reply would be examined by him for deciding further course of action.
The reply was in response to the breach of privilege notice received by him from some ministers and members of the House, he said.
