Hyderabad: Congress leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who had resigned as Infrastructure and Investments minister last month in support of united Andhra Pradesh, yesterday said he would meet state Governor today to seek acceptance of his resignation and join ongoing protests for the cause.
Rao said he would join the people's stir in support of united Andhra Pradesh by getting his resignation accepted.
Meanwhile, leaders, representing government employees protesting against proposed division of the state, today released a poster in connection with the public meeting to be organised by them here on September 7.
The leaders said they would approach court if police refused them permission to hold the rally.
The move to organise the meeting in Hyderabad was being opposed by some pro-Telangana supporters.
Meanwhile, protests continued across Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions today against the proposed division of the state.
Centre gave its nod to the formation of separate Telangana state on July 30.
