The body of the gang-rape victim, who became the focus of countrywide prayers and protests, was cremated here early Sunday soon after it was flown in from Singapore at 3.30 a.m
Since last evening, a large number of people, mostly neighbours, had assembled outside the family's house in southwest Delhi to condole the woman's death.
