Etawah (UP), Nov 11: BJP leader Kalraj Mishra today asked BSP chief Mayawati to fulfill her promise of sending Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav to jail.
“Mayawati had promised to send Mulayam to jail if voted to power (in the last UP polls)...but after assuming power she forgot her promise. People want her to fulfill her promise,” he told reporters here.
Now ahead of the next year's Assembly polls, SP is promising people that it would send Mayawati to jail if voted back to power, Mishra said, adding that both Mulayam and the BSP chief were involved in economic offences and facing probes.
The BJP leader said law and order situation is at its worse in the BSP regime.
“Incidents of rapes in the state have touched a record high and the government has not been able to do anything to check it,” he said.
He also held SP, BSP and Congress responsible for the backwardness of the state.
