Kolkata, Feb 1: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has ordered a probe into an incident at Kolkata airport on Thursday, when four radars failed to function and two flights of Jet Airways and Indigo Airlines had to be diverted to Bhubaneswar.
The radars went on the blink for nearly two hours from 6:55 pm till 8:41 pm, and Air Traffic Control had to manually get in touch with the pilots, who said they were running out of fuel.
Both the flights were diverted to Bhubaneswar. The radars were made operational late in the evening.
