Chennai: Four persons, including a father and daughter, were electrocuted to death yesterday after coming in contact with high tension wires during a shop inauguration ceremony at Madhavaram area in the city, police said.
The victims, identified as Thilakraj (53) and his daughter Sneha (19), electrician Naveen Chandran and priest Ramamurthy were performing prayers during the opening ceremony of a beauty parlour when the incident took place this morning, they said.
All of them died on the spot. Further probes into the case are on, police added.
