Jammu: Security forces have busted a militant hideout in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including 7.5 kg RDX explosive.
Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by the troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group (SOG) of police in Nachlana area of Ramban district last night, defence spokesman said here today.
During the operation, a militant hideout was discovered, and one AK-56 rifle, three AK magazines, 329 rounds of AK ammunition, 137 rounds of pika ammunition, five Chinese grenades, 7.5 kg of RDX explosives, one radio set, two radio set antenna, one IED circuit and one medical kit were recovered, he said.
