New Delhi, Jan 21 : A foot overbridge constructed near Pamposh Enclave adjoining Greater Kailash-1 suddenly collapsed on Sunday night after it was hit by a speeding truck.
Under the impact of collision, the overbridge was dislodged, hanged in the air and suddenly collapsed. One bystander was injured.
This foot overbridge was constructed during the Commonwealth Games in 2011 and a huge number of vehicular traffic passes beneath during morning and evening rush hours between Nehru Place and Chirag Dilli.
Fortunately, there was negligible traffic on Sunday night when the mishap took place.
