New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will inaugurate a national workshop on 'citizen centric governance' here on September 12.
The day-long workshop is being organised with an objective of simplification of procedures, processes and proforma for majority of government-related works, according to a note by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The Finance Minister has kindly agreed to inaugurate the workshop and Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, has agreed to preside over the valedictory session, it said.
Secretaries of concerned central ministries, Chief Secretaries of the states, administrators of the union territories, Industrial Development Commissioners of the states, Principal Secretaries of Home, Administrative Reforms and General Administration are being invited to attend the workshop, the note said.
The workshop, which will be held in Vigyan Bhawan here, is being organised by National Centre for Good Governance under DoPT, in collaboration with Institute for Development and Communication, Chandigarh.
