Thane: Two persons died and four others were injured in a major fire that engulfed the fifth floor of Gulmohar Building in Sundarvan complex in Samta Nagar, Thane early this morning.
All the four injured have been admitted to the civil hospital in Thane. Firefighters rescued all residents trapped inside the building
The fire was noticed at around 6:05 am in the 12-storeyed building.
Ten fire tenders were rushed to douse the blaze. The fire is now under control
The building is located near Raymond company factory. Being a residential building, people rushed out of the building to escape.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
