New Delhi: A fire broke out today in a room on the third floor of IIT-Delhi campus. There are also reports of a blast preceding the fire.
Six fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. The cause of the fire is not known yet.
The fire broke out inside a room on the the third floor of a building. The room was unoccupied.
"We received a call around 11.25 a.m. We have sent five fire tenders to the spot. No injuries have been reported so far," a fire official said.
"The rescue operations are on, and the fire is under control," the official said at 12.45 p.m.
According to eyewitnesses, two to three loud blasts were heard at the time of the fire.
