New Delhi: The suicide of 41-year-old Gajendra Singh, a resident of Dausa district, has kickstarted a political blame game. Some sniff conspiracy, some directly blame opposition leaders and some straightforward accuse other parties for the tragic event.
While Gajendra was trying to take his own life, hundreds of thousands including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal looked on. Kejriwal, including other heavyweights of Delhi government, has been accused of being uncompassionate for continuing with the rally after the unfortunate incident.
AAP chief Kejriwal later went to the hospital just to ‘perform the political formality' but his party's leaders indulged themselves in the slugfest and even smelled ‘conspiracy' in the whole affair.

So called ‘well-wishers of farmers' belonging to different political outfits continue playing the game instead of finding the answers to the questions asked by Gajendra.
1- First and foremost is the suspense behind the suicide letter. There is nothing in the letter that could suggest that he would take the extreme step. He mentioned bad crop and problems but nothing that would make it a ‘suicide note'.
2- In the letter, Gajendra mentioned about crop loss but according to the district officials, he belonged to a well-off family and never asked for compensation. He had even unsuccessfully contested assembly elections twice on Samajwadi Party ticket. His uncle is is also a village sarpanch. So his sudden decision to take his own life really surprises.
3- Gajendra Singh also had a good turban business along with his farming. He was considered to be a jolly person in his circle and even before he died he was waving hands and did not seem to be suicidal in any way. He held a record of tying most turbans and the list of his clients included names like former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former US President Bill Clinton. His decision to take his own life does not seem to be logical.
