New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is facing severe criticism for the death of Rajasthan's Gajendra Singh who committed suicide in the Kisan rally is now trying to put the entire blame on the inaction of the Delhi Police personnel posted there.

Senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas while speaking to IndiaTV said " some people are trying to hold AAP responsible for the  farmer's suicide and trying to divert the attention away from the real issue of farmers' distress''.

Kumar Vishwas also acknowledged that the leaders who were sitting on the stage were not able to assess the situation correctly.

The leader also attacked Delhi Police for its non-cooperation on the issue and said how the volunteers of the AAP climbed on the tree to bring Gajendra down.

He further added that the officials of Delhi who were present at the Jantar Mantar did not do anything to bring the farmer down from the tree even after he was there for nearly one and half hours.
