Shimla, Apr 9: An exhibition was organised on Monday in the premises of Himachal Pradesh Assembly to celebrate the 30-year association of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh with the House.
The exhibition “Remarkable contributions of Virbhadra Singh in three decades” displayed pictures and recalled the memorable events of past 30 years.
Singh started his political career by entering Lok Sabha in 1962 but he joined the state politics by taking over as Chief Minister of the state on April 8, 1983.
A documentary produced by Department of Information and Public Relations ‘Himalaya Ka Karmyogi: Virbhadra Singh' based on the life and contribution of Singh was also screened on the occasion.
On the occasion, Singh said HP had made tremendous progress and development since its formation in all sectors.
The Chief Minister said he was satisfied with his performance during the last 30 years and it had been possible only due to support of the people.
Replying to another question on phone tapping, he said the case had been handed over to the Vigilance Department and the officials and telephone service provider companies involved in this illegal act would not be spared.
