Biennial elections to four Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan and bypoll to one will be held on June 17 following completion of the terms of four MPs and death of one sitting member, a State Election Office spokesman said Jaipur on Friday .
The notification to the RS elections in the state would be made on May 31 and the last date for filing nominations would be June 7, the spokesman said, citing an order from the Election Commission of India.
Scrutiny will take place on June 8 and June 10 will be the last date for withdrawals followed by elections on June 17, he said.
Four RS seats are going to polls with Narendra Budhania, Santosh Bagrodia (both Congress), BJP's Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi, and Najma Heptullah completing their terms.
Bypoll will be held for one seat which fell vacant after the death of BJP MP K K Valmiki on April 21. PTI
