An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in Assam's Sonitpur on Sunday. The quake was reported at 2.40 pm with its epicentre, according to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS). The depth of the quake was 5 km.
Earlier on Wednesday, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Assam's Tezpur.
So far, no reports of any damage have surfaced.
