Kanpur: 'Vijayadasami Mahotsav' organised by a nearly 137-year-old Ramlila committee will begin here from today giving start to the festive season next month.
The Dussehra festivity, organised by one of the oldest Ramlila committees in the city, will start with the recitation of Ram Katha which is expected to go on till September 30.
The committee's director and Chairman and Managing Editor of the Jagran Group, Mahendra Mohan Gupta said the staging of 'Ramlila' will take place from October 3 to 13.
Other programmes such as display of fireworks and tableaus will go on till October 16, Gupta said.
