The admission process in the most coveted university of India, Delhi University (DU), has already started. From Thursday, the registration process has already begun. Hence, to make it convenient for the students, here is the eligibility criterion, cut-off process and individual information of various courses in DU.
Arts
BA/BA (Hons)
Those having atleast 40% in XIIth can apply. Merit list is prepared on the basis of one language and three elective subjects.
B.A. (Hons) Arabic, Hindi and Bengali
Minimum 45% marks required in XIIth. Apart from this, students who will have atleast 50% marks in the subject of honours and atleast 40% overall will also be eligible. Again, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of one language and three elective subjects.
B.A. (Hons) French, German, Italian and Spanish
Those having 45% marks in XIIth can apply. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of one language and three elective subjects.
Science
B.Sc. (hons) Botany, Zoology, Microbiology
The candidate should have Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotech in XII standard compulsorily. Also, minimum 55% marks are required in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths).
B.Sc. (Hons) Biological Science
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech and Maths/Computer Science are compulsorily required in XIIth. Minimum 55% marks required in three subjects out of these four. Apart from this, the student should have passed in English also.
Commerce
B.Com
Those having minimum 40% marks in 12th standard can apply. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of one subject and three electives.
B.Com (Hons)
Minimum 45% required in XIIth standard. Apart from this, it is important that the student should have passed in Maths in XII. Again, the merit list in this case also will be on the basis of one language and three electives.
Mathematical Science
More than 60% marks required in Computer Science in XIIth. Apart from this, minimum 55% marks are required in maths, one language and two electives. The merit will be based on this only.
