Ticket less travel: This is the most common activity that most of the Indians while traveling in a train commits. There are various provisions under which a passenger if caught traveling in a train without the valid ticket may have to pay a fine of 1000 rupees or even may be sent to jail for six months imprisonment.
The Tickets of passengers can be checked by the concerned authorities
(a) when they are entering the platform
(b) en-route to the extent possible by travelling ticket examining staff; and
(c) at destination, where the tickets should also be collected.
