New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today congratulated the people of the capital for their huge response to the anti-corruption helpline.

A total of 3904 calls were made, and in 53 serious cases, charges of corruption were detected. "38 Delhites did stings against corrupt staff, and sent us the audios, which were crystal clear", he said.

"Most of these stings were of good quality, though there was no video because of obvious reasons. The Anti-Corruption Bureau has taken all these cases into account, and action will be taken soon.

"I want to warn the corrupt staff that their days are up, and they will soon be behind bars", said Kejriwal. "My experience so far has been that most of the officers are honest, but they never got a chance to prove themselves. Some bad fishes are spoiling the image of bureaucracy."

Kejriwal said, a simple 4-digit helpline number will be ready by tomorrow or Saturday for anti-corruption matters.

On public grievances, he said, the chief minister alongwith all his ministers, will sit outside the Delhi secretariat every Saturday from 9:30 am till 11 am to hear the grievances of people.  On other days, ministers will sit daily on rotational basis, but they will take grievances of other departments too.

Kejriwal said, grievances which are of immediate category will be solved on the spot, while others will be sent to the respective departments for immediate action.
