New Delhi, Jan 8: The national capital today continued to reel under intense cold as the mercury stayed below normal to settle at 3.3 degrees Celsius.

Today's minimum was up by almost a degree from the previous day but icy winds and fog forced people to stay indoors during the morning hours.

The minimum was registered at 2.4 degrees Celsius yesterday, five notches below normal while the maximum stayed seven degrees below normal at 13.4 degree Celsius.

The Weatherman had predicted mainly clear skies for today with the maximum hovering around 13 degrees Celsius.
