New Delhi: Delhi Police has asked all radio stations in the national Capital to stop playing the jingle of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) citing it as a tool to defame the force.
In a latest radio jingle, a woman is heard saying that some men misbehaved with her while she was on her way back home from coaching classes. The lady went to the police station to register a complaint but the cops kept asking her questions following which she decides to leave the police station without registering any case.
A senior police officer confirmed the news saying for the past few days, the AAP's jingle on radio channels were defaming the police and now the radio stations have been asked to stop playing the same.
Meanwhile, the radio channels have complied with the police direction and stopped playing the jingle from Friday evening.
The police has also directed the radio stations to take its nod before playing any such jingles in future.
