Kolkata: Metro train services here were affected on Friday after the auto-signalling system at the Maidan Metro station collapsed for about an hour in the morning, a Metro official said.
"We had no alternative other than controlling the trains after the auto signalling system failed at the Maidan metro station at around 9.50am today," the official said.
Manual signalling was opted following which trains were delayed by two to three minutes at every station affecting the services, he said.
"It was a technical problem which was restored at around 10.50am. Till then the services were affected. Train services are normal now," the official said.
