New Delhi: Delhiites can now register their complaints related to sewage and water supply through their smartphones as Delhi Jal Board (DJB) launched an App for the purpose.

According to DJB officials, this App has been launched as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan'.

"The mobile application comes with a provision to upload suggestions/complaints related to dirty water, leakage of water, sewer over-flow, missing manhole covers on DJB's website. DJB is paying special attention to these issues in line with its commitment to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan," said a senior official.

The official said, "This is a unique and one-of-its-kind mobile application for the convenience of its consumers and it is customised to suit the requirements of the consumers."

"The suggestions/complaints received through the Mobile App will be forwarded to the concerned area officers for necessary action. The App also offers the facility to upload photographs along with the complaints and suggestions. Also, by using this App, the consumers can reopen their complaints," the official added.

The DJB official also said that prior to this, the board had launched a centralised 24x7 Call Centre, with a Computerised Complaint Management System. This was done with an aim to provide appropriate and speedy redressal to public grievances.
