Delhi L-G Najeeb Jung appoints new chief of ACB, 7 inspectors
Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung yesterday appointed Meena as the head of ACB, superseding Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's hand-picked chief S S Yadav and triggering strong reaction from the AAP government.
The LG had also transferred seven inspectors of Delhi Police to the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), days after AAP government inducted five police officers from Bihar in the elite probe agency.
Meena, however, clarified that he is still holding the charge of ACB as he had received orders from the competent authority. "I am still holding charge. I have orders from the competent authority,"Meena said.
