New Delhi: An eight-year-old girl has been admitted to hospital in a critical condition after being savagely attacked by a pet dog in Delhi's Malviya Nagar.
The owner of the dog, Karan Singh, was taking it for a walk in the local park when the incident happened. Two young kids were passing by, when the dog suddenly attacked them.
One of the kids escaped but the other was trapped in the dog's jaws.
The owner did his best to save her from the dog's vice-like grip. But the dog had become so aggressive that it could not be stopped.
Om hearing the girl's screams, people rushed to the spot with lathis and managed to save her life.

The girl, Kashish, was admitted to Max Hospital in Saket where her treatment is ongoing. According to doctors, she was badly bitten on the stomach and back and her condition is serious.
Kashish comes from a poor family - her father is a dhobi - and her treatment is being borne so far by the dog's owner.
A case has been filed in Malviya Nagar police station and the police are investigating.
