New Delhi, May 19: Three-year-old Aman was playing in front of the lift door on the third floor, while waiting with his father for the lift to arrive in Delhi's Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, when the door opened all of a sudden, and Aman hurtled downwards.
The boy suffered critical head injuries as he fell into the lift shaft. He was given immediate treatment at Sanjay Gandhi hospital and later shifted to a private hospital.
Says Sujit Chaudhary, Aman's father: “It's crass negligence. The hospital administration had kept no warning sign. The boy was playing close to the lift door on the third floor, when the door suddenly gave away.”
The hospital administration however denied that its lift door was faulty.
