New Delhi/ Kolkata:  Before taking any decision to declassify freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's files West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should have consulted the Centre or Ministry of External Affairs, RK Singh, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former home secretary, said.

“It would have been better if Mamata Banerjee would have consulted with the Central Government and Ministry of External Affairs,” RK Singh told ANI.

In contrast to R.K.Singh statement against Banerjee, Siddharth Nath Singh, another BJP leader, welcomed the decision of declassifying the files. “Netaji's life must be demystified”, he added.

“This step by the West Bengal Government would provide vigour and vitality to their struggle”, said Abhijit Roy, relative of Subhash Chandra Bose.
