Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi will visit Raipur today to take stock of the situation.

Congress leader Ajit Jogi has demanded imposition of President's Rule in Chhatisgarh, with party workers staging protests outside the chief minister Raman Singh's residence. The Congress has given a state-wide bandh call today to protest the failure of the state government in curbing the Maoist menace.

Nearly 12 Congress leaders and activists, who had taken part in the Parivartan Yatra through Bastar, are still missing. Among them is slain PCC chief Nandkumar Patel's son.

The scene of massacre presented a gory sight on Saturday night, with bleeding Congress leaders lying unattended for nearly two hours, with their vehicle tyres riddled with Maoist bullets.

Several mediapersons, who rushed to the spot, were among the first to rescue the injured Congressmen, and sent them to the nearest hospital.
