Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will leave for coastal Andhra today evening to assess the destruction caused by cyclone Hudhud which crossed the coast near Visakhapatnam.
Naidu told reporters here that he will reach Visakhapatnam or Rajahmundry depending on the weather conditions.
He plans to camp there for two to three days to monitor rescue and relief work.
Naidu has been monitoring the situation since morning with top officials at the secretariat. He spoke to some of his cabinet colleagues in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram and East Godavari districts.
