Srinagar: Barring Baramulla, curfew was reimposed in all major towns of the Kashmir Valley on Sunday notwithstanding the separatists' decision to exempt the day from protests and strikes.

Meanwhile, three persons injured during alleged firing by security forces over the last three days succumbed to their wounds, taking the death toll in the ongoing unrest to 102, official sources said here.

Curfew, which was relaxed in almost entire Srinagar city yesterday after six days, was clamped again today.

A police spokesman said all the major towns of the Valley have been put under curfew barring Baramulla town in north Kashmir.

Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who has been issuing weekly agitation calenders, had exempted the day from protests and strikes, and asked people to carry out their normal activities.

One of the three who succumbed to wounds was injured in a firing incident at Palhalan in Pattan area of Baramulla district and another was injured at Khanabal in Anantnag district yesterday.

The third persons was injured on September 16 at Lethpora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Yesterday, three persons were killed and 30 others injured in violence in Kashmir.

Two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries as security forces allegedly opened fire on a group of persons coming out of a mosque at Palhalan in Pattan area, 32 kms from here, in Baramulla district. PTI
