New Delhi: As many as 39 IAS and seven IPS officers have been allegedly found involved in corruption in the last three years, the government said today.
During the last three years prosecution sanctions were granted against 39 IAS, seven IPS and eight Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh told Lok Sabha in a written reply.
“Penalties including dismissal from service have been provided in case corruption charges are proven,” he said.
In reply to another question, Singh said 2,220 corruption cases have been filed by the CBI during last three years.
